2 weeks old already! Spencer's favorite things to do these days are eat, go for walks with Grandma, eat, try to hold his head up, and eat. He also likes to go for rides in the car when he's fussy and is sleeping (we use that term loosely) in his crib now.

Today Spencer is one week old! It's amazing how time flies. Last night also marks the first night since his first nights in the hospital that he settled down after his nightime feeding and slept through the night. He slept very soundly and Mommy had to wake him twice for his overnight feedings. Both Mom and Dad are feeling much more rested today after that nice break Spencer gave us! Thanks kiddo!

Spencer has been a busy boy this week. He had his first doctor's appointment, went out shopping and has been quite successful in kepping Mommy and Daddy awake at night. He likes to sleep all day and cry all night, a pattern which we hope will change sooner than later! He's changing every day and already he looks quite different than when he was born. Mommy and Daddy are so happy to have this special little guy in our lives, it's already hard to remember life without him.

Mommy and Spencer are due to come home this morning. Hopefully Mom will be able to get a nap in her bed while Dad and Grandma entertain Spencer (or watch him sleep!) between feedings. We're looking forward to introducing him to his new home!

As many of you know, Jess was supposed to be induced Friday morning at 9am. Nature decided to take over instead as she woke me up at 6:45 to let me know her water had broken! After a long day at the hospital, Spencer was born at 12:28am on Saturday morning, September 9th. As we've been told by many of the nurses, "he's a good size!" Proud Dad is going to get some sleep so he can go help out Mom in the morning! Good night!
